The following are the qualification requirements for registration of Environmental Assessment Experts:

1. Any person interested to be registered as an Environmental Assessment Expert must have a degree or masters in Environmental Management fields/ studies or related courses.
2. For registration as an Associate Expert one has to provide proof of undertaking at least one year mentorship programme under a practising lead expert or a firm of experts.
3. For registration as a Lead Expert one must have practised for eight years as an associate expert for first degree holders, five (5) years as associate for Masters Holders and three (3) years for PhD holders.
4. Application for registration must be duly completed with all relevant documents for expert category being applied for as follows:
   1. Duly filled online application form
   2. Detailed and up-to date CV with documented evidence of practice as outlined in 3 above.
   3. Proof of completion of a mentorship program (for associate experts).
   4. Academic Certificates
   5. Proof of undertaking an Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit training from a recognized training institution.
   6. Professional Certificates
   7. Certificate of good conduct
   8. KRA Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)

Firm of Experts requirements

1. Certificate of incorporation.
2. Articles of Association
3. KRA PIN and Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
4. Form CR1 (directorship) with at least one director being a registered and practicing lead expert.
5. Form CR12 (shareholders)
6. Firm profile inclusive of organogram.
7. Team of experts: at least one lead and one associate experts with valid practicing licenses.
8. Detailed and up-to date CV
9. Certificate of Registration as an Environmental Assessment Expert (EAE) and current practising licenses for all the lead and associate experts
