World Environment Day (WED) is the UN day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment since 1974.
The theme for WED 2019 is “air pollution.” Air pollution critically affects the environment and human beings. Generally, air pollution is caused by presence of toxic substances in the atmosphere mainly produced by human related activities.
Kenya, through NEMA has begun the National Steering Committee meetings in preparation of the event on 5th June 2019.
China will host the global event.
