Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC)

The Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) is currently holding an informal in-person meeting of Heads of Delegation (HODs) in Nairobi, from June 30 to July 2, 2025. 

This meeting is part of the broader process to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution. The HODs meeting is taking place at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). It is preceded by regional consultations on June 29, 2025.

INC is a crucial step in developing an international legally binding instrument to address plastic pollution.
