Vetting Criteria for Registered Environmental Experts

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) is in the process of undertaking a vetting exercise for all registered experts during this Financial Year (2020/2021).

The whole objective of this exercise is to among other things streamline the registration process and ensure that good governance is promoted as the experts undertake their roles.

In order undertake credible vetting exercise, the Authority in collaboration with the EIK has developed a draft vetting criteria to be used.

To ensure public/ stakeholder consultations, NEMA hereby asks you to study the draft criteria and give your comments on the same.

This will enable the Authority go ahead with the vetting exercise as planned. Your submissions should reach this office within 14 days from the date of this notice.

The specific dates for the vetting exercise will be communicated to you in due course.
