EEI&PP under the auspices of the Kenya E-learning Centre is spearheading upscaling of e-learning initiatives within the environment sector. This initiative is in tandem with implementation of AMCEN Decision 6 on environmental education and technology supported learning. 4 working groups were established to develop strategy documents for steering e-learning development for the environment sector. These working groups focus on 1) Infrastructure and connectivity, 2) Content development, 3) capacity building and 4) quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation. All institutions involved in this initiative are expected to initiate e-learning programmes to educate and create awareness to their diverse stakeholders.
